Valentino Pistore

Short Bio

I earned my Bachelor in Physical Engineering at Politecnico di Torino (Italy) in 2014. I graduated from the double-degree MD program ‘NanoQuad’ in Nanotechnologies for ICTs at Politecnico di Torino and in Dispositifs Quantiques (Quantum Devices) at Paris VII – Denis-Diderot University in 2016. I received my PhD in Solid State Physics in 2019 from Sorbonne Université in Paris, France, with the thesis titled “Modelocking of THz quantum cascade lasers: dispersion control and non-linearities”. Since 2020 I am a CNR (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche) researcher at Laboratorio NEST (Pisa).

Research Interests

Photonic engineering of terahertz quantum cascade lasers (QCLs), Near field far infrared photonics, Quantum metrology with THz QCLs.
